What is the difference between UV and FR?

UV= Ultraviolet. The product is UV protected.
Durability and Longevity: Thanks to their UV-resistant and often weather-resistant materials, these products are built to last. They can withstand various weather conditions without wilting, rotting, or deteriorating.
Colour Stability: The most defining feature. UV products are designed to maintain their original colour and appearance even when exposed to direct sunlight, making them suitable for both indoor areas with ample natural light and outdoor applications.

FR= Fire Retardant. The product is FR protected and meets criteria’s stated in the product description.
*The FR qualities are built within the material compound when manufactured. Not sprayed or dipped* ensuring long lasting flame retardant qualities. These products are deigned for both indoors and outdoors and will require zero maintenance to keep them FR.

FR products are engineered to:
Resist Ignition: They are much harder to ignite than standard, untreated artificial products.
Slow Flame Spread: If they do catch fire, the flames will spread much more slowly, allowing more time for evacuation and fire suppression.
Reduce Smoke Production: Many FR products are designed to produce less smoke, which is critical for visibility during an evacuation and reducing inhalation risks.
Prevent Flaming Droplets: They are often designed not to produce flaming droplets, which can spread fire to other areas.

Some of our products are both UV + FR. Please always read the product description for more information.
